IMANI O. JOHNSON-JORDAN

Imani Johnson-Jordan is a visionary brand strategist, creative executive, and award-winning communications leader. As Founder and CEO of Kensington Brands, she leads a portfolio of creative ventures designed to empower brands, elevate stories, and build equity through commerce and community.

In February 2025, following the birth of her son, Jaxson, Imani made the decisive leap from corporate leadership to pursue entrepreneurship full time. Since then, she has accelerated the growth of Kensington Brands and launched one of her most defining innovations: Maven Haven, a first-of-its-kind mobile content studio created to help founders, creatives, and organizations produce high-quality content wherever they are—removing traditional barriers to visibility, storytelling, and scale.

With more than a decade of experience launching brands, shaping narratives, and leading DEI and ESG communications, Imani has helped startups, institutions, and legacy companies clarify their identities and connect meaningfully with their audiences. Through Kensington Brands and its subsidiaries—including Maven Market, So Fake Vegan, By Imani (Events), and Dapper Dawgs (coming soon)—she delivers strategic branding, marketing, and experiential solutions rooted in purpose and performance.

Prior to founding Kensington Brands, Imani built an award-winning career across leading global organizations including WPP, Omnicom, Odyssey Media, and Rutgers University. In these roles, she led strategic communications, DEI initiatives, and brand campaigns across sectors, partnering with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and cultural institutions. Her work earned national recognition and secured placements in top-tier publications.

Imani holds a master’s degree in Communication and Media from Rutgers University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and a certificate in Healthcare Marketing and Communications from NYU. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Rutgers University–New Brunswick, a McKinsey Black Management Accelerator alumna, and an alumna board member of Douglass Residential College, Rutgers’ women’s college.

Based in New Jersey, Imani lives with her husband and business partner, D’Andre, their son Jaxson, and their dog Dior. She balances her thriving career with a commitment to family, community, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
